Helium (He) is the chemical element with atomic number 2
I'm going to try and address some of the negative reviews, which generally are from a lack of understanding. This product is a tank full of compressed Helium (He) and some latex balloons. There is no way to create helium, it is mined and bottled. If you want to complain about the quality and properties of Helium, then you should put those to the creator of the Universe, not the person who bottled the natural element. Pure helium is exactly the same from one supplier to the next. With that out of the way, I'll move on to the latex balloons. As others have pointed out, the pores in latex are relatively large as compared to the very small Helium atom. Mylar has much smaller pores, so the helium is contained for a much longer period of time. So then how does one fix latex to hold the helium longer? The idea is to coat the inside of the balloon to seal the latex so the helium does not escape as quickly, including where the balloon is tied. A quick search will...

Have to use a preparation product first then it is great.
I have used this product a few times. The trick to keeping the balloons up is to use a product prior to filling them called "ultra hi-float" otherwise, yes the next day you will have a balloon graveyard. But preparing the balloons prior with this product keeps them up for much longer. We have three as an experiment that have been up now for one day short of a week.Nothing like 50 to 60 balloons, a big bathtub, wine and cheese to keep the spark!

Who doesn't like helium?
Unlike anything else I have ever purchased, this tank was lighter full than it was empty, which elicited many Keanu-inspired cries of "WHHOOOOAAAA" around the house. It's big, it's purple and full of helium. It had more than enough gas to inflate the robotic blimp my daughter built for her science project. We used some of the excess to fill balloons and were sad that filling an air mattress did not allow us to float around the house magic-carpet-style the way we had hoped. If you need a big bucket of helium sent to your house, this is the way to do it. Note that while helium itself is inert, the tank is a mild explosive risk because it contains gas under pressure. Note also that my wife says the same thing about me.
